Must not have failed to repay all or any part of, an unearned Ontario Trillium Scholarship.
Agrees that SGPS may provide award-related information from the original application to other units on campus, as well as to the donor, because Trillium Scholarships are funded, in part, by matched private donations to The University of Western Ontario. The content of evaluations provided by referees in the original application will not be released.
Will recognize the donor’s support by participating in activities as requested, such as attending awards events, writing a letter of thanks to the donor, providing a brief synopsis to the donor on research activities completed during the tenure of the OTS, and/or acknowledging the donor in the thesis.
Agrees that the University may publicize his/her award, specifically by name, degree, graduate program, and research title, where applicable, in Western and London media for the duration of the OTS
Deferment or Interruption of the Scholarship
Any request for a deferment or an interruption of the OTS must be made directly to the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (SGPS) by the recipient and must coincide with the appropriate deferment or leave request.
Completion/Withdrawal from the Graduate Program
Repayment of OTS funding is triggered if the OTS recipient:
Transfers to another institution
Withdraws from the program
Loses full-time status
Fails to maintain good academic standing as determined by the institution
Otherwise loses eligibility for continued receipt of the OTS as set out in these conditions
SGPS will prorate the repayment required up to the last month of full-time studies completed by the recipient. For example, if a recipient completes or withdraws from the program on March 15, SGPS would recover the March and April portions ($6,667) of the Winter Term installment ($13, 3334).
No repayment will be required with respect to the recipient’s completed years, terms or full months of study prior to the loss of OTS eligibility.
Under no circumstances would payment of the OTS continue beyond the completion date of the program of study for which it was awarded.
