Graduate Student Orientation - Winter 2012

The SGPS Graduate Student Orientation is a great opportunity to meet new students and important contacts on campus, in addition to learning about various Western services to help make your graduate experience a memorable one. Please mark this date on your calendar, as there will be plenty of food to enjoy, as well as information and materials to help start your graduate career on the right foot.

Orientation Schedule

  • 4:00pm – 4:15pm – Drinks and Cheese Mingle
  • 4:15pm – 4:45pm – Stephen Sims (Associate Vice-Provost, SGPS) presents Successful Progression Through your Program, covering goals, staying on track, supervisory issues, and the SGPS Development Series.
  • 4:45pm – 5:00pm – The Teaching Support Centre provides an overview of professional development and out-of-class learning opportunities to take advantage of during your graduate career.
  • 5:00pm – 5:30pm – Dinner
