Important Dates (Fall Term)
September 1, 2016 Term officially begins. Since this date does not necessarily coincide with the beginning of classes, students should contact their program for the specific date when courses start.
September 8, 2016 Due date for fall term tuition (first installment).
September 15, 2016 Grade submission deadline for summer term grades for continuing students.
September 30, 2016 Last day to enrol in fall term graduate courses, declare an audit for a course, or drop a graduate course without it appearing on the transcript.
October 13, 2016 Due date for second installment of fall term tuition for those paying in 2 installments.
October 27 & 28, 2016 Autumn Convocation
October 28, 2016 Last day to provide proof of Permanent Resident status to have fall term tuition fees reduced to the domestic rate.
October 31, 2016 Last day to withdraw from a graduate course beginning in the term without academic penalty.
November 11, 2016 Final date for doctoral candidates to submit the thesis for examination to SGPS to complete the degree within the fall term.
November 25, 2016 Final date for masters candidates to submit the thesis for examination to SGPS to complete the degree within the fall term.
November 25, 2016 Recommended deadline to submit to SGPS requests for changes to winter term registration status, (e.g. part-time, leave of absence, intent to be eligible for TDO status) and to apply to graduate for the February In-Absentia Convocation.
December 23, 2016 Grade submission deadline for fall term grades for students wishing to graduate at the February In-Absentia Convocation.
December 31, 2016 Deadline for doctoral and masters candidates to submit the thesis for examination to SGPS to be eligible for Thesis Defense Only status for the winter term. Deadline for final submission of the thesis to complete the degree within the fall term and to graduate at the February In-Absentia Convocation. Term ends.
